Digging back in the TNE Archives, we present a double feature of two films by Denis Villeneuve. Back in 2013 Villeneuve made two films with Jake Gyllenhaal. The first, a crime thriller/meditation on trauma with Prisoners, and the other, a surrealist character study of a man coming to terms with two sides of himself. For this Monday's edition of your weekly TNE digest, we present Prisoners! Caleb and Eric discuss what we think of Villeneuve's first crack at a hollywood film. After an extended delay, Caleb and Isaac return to their Superman retrospective by covering the last of the Pilotsville section of the journey, this time reviewing The Last Son of Krypton, the three-part serial that kicked off Superman: The Animated Series. Now we know this one isn't technically a pilot, but hey close enough. How does this one hold up when compared against the other three Superman pilots we've done? Find out now!
