A Scanner Darkly (2006)

Strange Animation, Vol. 1 arrives at it's penultimate entry as Caleb and Isaac are joined by yet another guest for the series. As Eric was the first to bring a Linklater film to the podcast, and hadn't yet seen this one, it was only fitting that he join the boys to discuss the fully rotoscoped 2006 sci-fi cult hit, A Scanner Darkly.

Angel’s Egg (1985)

Strange Animation Vol. 1 continues as Caleb and Isaac are joined by our first guest for this series, Mhicaella! And for this second entry, we're leaping into the mid 80s and crossing over to Japan as we wade our way through Mamoru Oshii's surrealist classic, Angel's Egg.

Fantastic Planet (1973)

Come one, come all to the inaugural episode of the newest retrospective Caleb has cooked up in his witch's caldron. Long in the annuals of TNE history have Caleb and Isaac expressed their love for animation, and have made strives to cover more of it over the past few years. But to add a little more flavor to our animated diet, we arrive at a new ongoing series with  Volume one of "Strange Animation", a four part series dedicated to the weirder veins of animated pictures. Starting with René Laloux's Fantastic Planet.
