What's this? A new episode of the Novice Elitists podcast?! "I thought those guys died in a ditch somewhere!" Nope we didn't. But we did have to put the podcast on hiatus due to a certain world wide pandemic. But have no fear dear listener, for we have just the antidote to your Novice Elitists withdrawals. An off the cuff, non-commentary phone call with bad sound quality, and meandering discussions on various topics that are somewhat related to our usual content.
We cover lots of stuff here, from films we've been watching in isolation, to the state of our comic book readings, and we also spend way too much time talking about video games. Oh, and we forgot to record an introduction and an ending, so here you go: Hi! Goodbye!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived. After suffering through the CGI wasteland/writing malpractice that was the first two prequel films; Gennedy Tartakovsky is here to save the day!
It's a joyous time here at Novice Elitists central, where your two suffering compatriots finally get a chance to unmanacle themselves, climb off the racks, and actually enjoy a Star Wars commentary for a change.

The Novice Elitists once again take a stab at being topical as we tie-in to the recent Sonic the Hedgehog film, with the 1999 OVA, Sonic the Hedgehog. Too bad we waited to release it until after the film has already left theaters, but hey, nobody said we were good at this!
But besides our cynical bandwagon jumping, this episode is also the start of a brand new series here at Novice Elitists central. That's right folks, the boys are finally taking their long awaited leap into the world of video game based movies. How does Sonic the Hedgehog stack up as the first example we watch? #2 After a very long hiatus, The Novice Elitists finally return to their most hotly anticipated new series, The Godzilla/Godzilla Related Monster Movie Marathon Using A Randomizer to Select The Movie Series. We're bad at titles.
But what we are good at (hopefully), is watching and talking about the film that kicked off the Heisei era with, The Return of Godzilla. The boys couldn't be happier to be back on this series, and we hope you feel similarly because we've got 59 more films to watch. Our intrepid travellers are desperately trying to find a way off this path of bad films, but for every positive avenue that stumbles our way, another embarrassingly bad scene swerves us off course.
