Returning to a series we've only had one entry for so far, Sean, Caleb and Eric arrive at the second volume of their Remakes vs. Originals series! This time splitting the episodes into two parts, they look at the first version of Dawn of the Dead. All three have a previous association with both films in the series. What do think they of George Romero's second entry in his "Dead" series? Find out now!

Belle (2021)
Friday Feb 11, 2022
Friday Feb 11, 2022
What's this? A regular review coming out on a Friday? "What's the world coming to!"
Well get used to it folks, because we've recently run into a massive backlog of episodes, so in the next few weeks, we'll be doing this at least twice more. But for this episode we jumped way ahead of the line so we can release our initial thoughts on the recently released anime sensation, Belle! Rarely on the show have we done a review on a movie still in theaters at the time the episode is dropped, and never have we released one of those reviews as a regular episode. But there's a first time for everything, and today we're starting with Belle! This is a full spoilers review, so definitely watch the film beforehand.

Monday Feb 07, 2022
Monday Feb 07, 2022
Returning for our third entry in the Who Goes There?/The Thing Retrospective, we arrive at the forgotten entry in the series, Horror Express! Who knew that buried amongst these films you'd find a great little crossover between the flavor of Hammer Horror, mixed in with the style of a 70s Italian film (although it's actually Spanish). What do Caleb, Isaac and Johnny have to say about this train-based chiller? Find out now!

Following up on some tracks of conversations from our recent Godzilla episode, Eric, Isaac, and Caleb dive deep into the world of Transformers, discussing not only Michael Bay and his take on the franchise, but also the numerous animated incarnations of the robots in disguise. We also discuss our tastes in humor, the various Gundam series, and have an extended discussion on the Star Wars prequels.

All Monsters Attack (1969) Commentary
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Monday Jan 31, 2022
#11 After a long hiatus from Godzilla proper, the group of Caleb, Eric, and Isaac return once again to the Showa era. And how fitting that our next visit to this period is (in a way) the sister film to the previous one we did. Eric's first appearance in the Monster Mash series was Son of Godzilla, widely considered to be one of the worst Godzilla films. And now we rewatch a ton of that same footage, as we arrive at All Monsters Attack, the first and only Godzilla clipshow film, and also considered among the worst of all the Godzilla films. What will yours hosts think of this precursor to Gamera Super Monster? Find out now!

Annie Hall (1977)

Caleb and Eric return as a duo, this time turning the discussion to another movie that's come up previously on the podcast. Eric is a long time fan of Woody Allen, whereas Caleb is a long time nonfan. A well renowned decrier of most comedy films/comedians, will Caleb be able to get past his disdain for the Woody Allen persona and enjoy this professed American Classic? Find out now!

TNE Speakeasy: Bonus #39 (Catching Up on the Arrowverse ft. Jason)
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Finally releasing the rest of the bonus material from Jason's most recent appearance on the podcast, we get to Bonus #39. As the title would suggest, we get in a lot of discussion on DC television, but aside from that, we also discuss our thoughts on Dune, and several other recent releases (at the time of recording). We also get in some video game talk, and upcoming films (again, at the time of recording).
All in all, it's another fun day at the bar.

Monday Jan 17, 2022
Monday Jan 17, 2022
Caleb and Brianna return for another look at a children's book (although this one without a movie counterpart) to discuss Eva Ibbotson's 2001 novel, Journey to the River Sea. Brianna is very familiar with the book, but Caleb read it for the first time. What will they think of this adventure through the Amazon? Find out now!

TNE Speakeasy: Bonus #31 (Party Like it’s October, 2021.)
Friday Jan 14, 2022
Friday Jan 14, 2022
Continuing to release some episodes from October, we come to Bonus episode #31. Now most of these bonus episodes are a product of the moment they're recorded during, but this one in particular is a little funny to release three months later. We talk a lot about trailers we recently saw, upcoming movies that we want to see, and even begin topics that we would return in episodes that have already been released. But apart from that we get in some discussion on the marvel tv shows, video games, the WWE, and more. So a lot of the usual stuff, in a tight fun package. There's even a bonus trailer commentary for good measure. So set your minds three months back, and hang out with your buds for an hour.

King Kong (2005) Commentary
Tuesday Jan 11, 2022
Tuesday Jan 11, 2022
#10 After an extended hiatus from the Monster Mash series, we return by covering our third King Kong film. We've seen the most recent Kong revival, and the cartoon sequel to the 2000s Kong tv series. But what of Peter Jackson's epic retelling that brought us that cartoon sequel? That's right folks, Isaac, Eric and Caleb are strapping in for an over 3 hour long commentary, but don't let the length scare you off! They have a lot of fun talking the flaws and merits in this massively stuffed monster flick. So grab your copies and prepare yourself for a trip to Universal Studios, and we'll take the Kong ride together.
