Brianna and Caleb return to the bar to discuss another book, and this time Brianna's chosen a more topical offering! Not only was this book released in the same year that we're recording our episode on it, but additionally, the story is centered on a topic that is still (somewhat) in the cultural zeitgeist. Sequoia Nagamatsu's sophomore release is a collection of short stories that all build into one overarching narrative, taking place over the course of several decades during a global pandemic.

Strange Animation, Vol. 1 arrives at it's penultimate entry as Caleb and Isaac are joined by yet another guest for the series. As Eric was the first to bring a Linklater film to the podcast, and hadn't yet seen this one, it was only fitting that he join the boys to discuss the fully rotoscoped 2006 sci-fi cult hit, A Scanner Darkly.

Caleb and Isaac return to the bar, and shockingly, it's just the two of them this time! The last time we released a bonus episode like this was all the way back in January, with Bonus #31. And today we're gonna cover much of the same ground. Video Games are once again brought to the forefront of the discussion, which dovetails into some talk on Video Game Based movies. But as we're often prone to doing, we also take a detour back into the wrestling world to discuss Wrestlemania 38, Night One.

Come one, come all to the inaugural episode of the newest retrospective Caleb has cooked up in his witch's caldron. Long in the annuals of TNE history have Caleb and Isaac expressed their love for animation, and have made strives to cover more of it over the past few years. But to add a little more flavor to our animated diet, we arrive at a new ongoing series with Volume one of "Strange Animation", a four part series dedicated to the weirder veins of animated pictures. Starting with René Laloux's Fantastic Planet.
