Spartacus (1960) {Stanley Kubrick Retrospective}

Caleb and Eric return to the Kubrick series after a long delay to finally turn the podcast spotlight on the four films he made during the 1960s. And we begin this journey with Spartacus, a film that Kubrick himself was never happy with due to the censorship of the age. Paths of Glory (1957) {Stanley Kubrick Retrospective}

Caleb and Eric continue onto their final entry in the 50s era of films by famed director Stanley Kubrick. And coming full circle, Kubrick marks the end of his 50s cycle by returning to the beginning of it, by telling yet another intellectually dense war film, but this time with much less of a surrealist bent than the first. Fear and Desire (1953) {Stanley Kubrick Retrospective}

Welcome once again to a brand new series here on The Novice Elitists Film Podcast, Eric and Caleb are proud to announce that they've been making their way through all the films by Stanley Kubrick. As you can see from the date below, they started this retrospective quite awhile ago, and by the time this is dropping, they've already recorded the episodes for all the Kubrick films from the 1950s. So, like our previous Strange Animation series, we'll be dropping these episodes once every two weeks until we end this run with Paths of Glory. Then we'll return to this series once we've completed all his 60s films.
